Family owned and operated since 1902, Ambroise is one of the most reputable circuses around.

However, there is something strange going on within the circus. If you stick around for long enough, you will find that the majority of the people at the circus are not there by choice, but rather they were living their lives and then suddenly found themselves standing in the center ring of the tent. And more than that, they could not head back to their own lives, but were forced to join the circus. Some have stopped questioning it, others are slow to trust. But one thing is certain - once the circus picks you - you can't go home!

Ambroise Family Circus is a multifandom community that allows both cannon and original characters. This game is for writers who want to have fun, interact with other talented writers, and see their characters grow. Breaking academic hiatus to lmao that a paper that I wrote in 48 minutes for Classical Archaeology earned a 98%. Furthermore, it performed far better than my Pompeii paper, which was a labor of love that only received 90%.

PREMISE The action takes place in 2009 but in Caligland, the kingdom that lies between the realms of Heaven and Hell, Past and Present, Life and Underworld. it is the period known as The Dark Renaissance.

So I'm going to put myself on hiatus for the next week. I may still be around at night, but it's likely I'm going busy entertaining a guest.
Back late next week and by that time, I hope to finish my Anderson narrative (which is like 3000 words now and still not done!) and maybe get some play in and do my apps and all those other things I need to get accomplished.

For everyone who watches Glee (and that should be all of you), remember when Finn tried to get Quinn to name the baby Drizzle? I just realized that my Chinese name translates to "evening drizzle" in English so all this time I could have been going by the best name EVER. Not that I dislike Sophia but I could have been totally unique, you guys. XD
I finished my first ST app though ahahaha only a week late omg I am so bad at apping! Someone please tell me that this cookoff thing is still going on because I will be SO SO SAD if I missed it.

In September 1979, at the height of the first war, the Death Eaters assassinated the Minister of Magic and took over the wizarding government. Two years of terrorism followed, until that fateful Halloween night in 1981, when the Dark Lord vanished, Lily and James Potter died, and Harry Potter was left a scarred orphan.
The war was over, but the consequences of those two years the Death Eaters spent in power were just beginning. After claiming to have been Imperiused, most of the Death Eaters retained their positions of power within the Ministry. They headed nearly every Department, from Magical Law Enforcement to International Cooperation to the Department of Mysteries. There was no escaping the arm of the Dark Lord, even after he was declared dead.
The Death Eaters tried to retain the laws that had been passed during those two years, and the Order of the Phoenix tried to use its influence to push progression and equality. Neither side overtook the other, and even though the Wizarding World thought the war was over, the real battle raged as they fought for control of the government.
But in June 1998, Voldemort returned to the world stage. His first act was to find the prophecy that had eluded him for so long, and he attacked the Ministry of Magic. The raid was a success, and in the chaos, Minister of Magic Cornelius Fudge was killed.
Ex-Auror Caradoc Dearborn was declared Minister of Magic. Finally the Order had what it wanted; power over the Ministry. But with the Death Eaters still running every Department, there is little they can do to help stop the war.
It has been seventeen years since the last war, but the battle for England has only just begun.

Hello, hello! MJ here, bringing in my first (but likely not last) pup. This is Puck from Glee. If you've seen the show, you know he's that guy who sort of knocked up his best friends girlfriend and has this tendency to come off as sort of a jerk. He puts on the tough guy routine, picks on people that aren't as high up on the social food chain as himself, and generally says stupid things. But, hey, he can be a nice guy if he wants to be. Puck does have a soft side to him, it all mostly comes down to whether or not people are willing to deal with his bullshit long enough to find it. Aside from that, he's big on football (the American kind, mind you, as he'll be going to Taunton and will be mortified at their definition of the word), guitar, and Glee Club. Yep, Glee Club. This big old jerk likes to sing and he sorta does it well!

Grad school ate my soul. And all my free time.
But.. BUT. I think I may actually have a week of break, starting friday night, so I'm prewarning people that if I suddenly post with alllll of my peoples at once, that's why.
I also wanted to say that, due to the suckage of said free time, I hardly ever check the boards. BUT that if you poke me, I will play. It may take a few pokes, but I love playing, and repping, I just forget to look and see if I'm supposed to.

Nearside is a city on the verge of mainstream development, located in Central Pennsylvania next to the Carlton Mountain. Built by a collective community of artists, Nearside is a unique city of locally owned businesses, farmer's markets, and a thriving force of creativity. Solaris Rd. is the most popular section of the city, offering everything from a popular coffee house (a place for local bands, speed dating, karaoke nights, and much more) to a costume shop and a yoga studio to a daycare for Nearside's youngest residents, the city has countless amenities.
Several years ago a university was built and with it, there has been a rapid growth of corporate business and mainstream entertainment but the residents still focus on keeping Nearside's close-knit, small town charm.
*Mod Note: Nearside is a social game, focused on character development and looking for serious writers. You won't find zombies, murders, big-name celebrities, vampires, or people waving around magical wands. The Kingdom of Frell is at peace.
Though the so-called Golden Age of King Char and Queen Ella is long over- so long ago now that few are still alive who can remember it- life continues on much as it ever did. Merchants travel the lands far and wide, finding new and exotic goods to bring back to Greenville, the town just outside the royal palace. Greenville's markets are thriving, and most of the town's inhabitants pay little mind to the castle looming in the distance.
That is, of course, until The Gray Death appears. There is no known cure. Sufferers initially feel very weak, and are soon not even able to get out of bed. Overcome by fever, their complexions turn gray and they die. Still, Greenville believes it is safe- there are just rumors of the illness, and being so close to the castle, they're safe, right?
Wrong.
The illness knows no boundaries, a fact that is brought starkly to light when the King of Frell contracts the disease and dies a short time later. The King leaves behind a land in limbo- his wife, the Queen, is trying her level best to keep power from the hands of their immature son. Heroes search for a cure, trying to avenge their fallen King. Life in Greenville continues on, if a bit more cautiously. Life in the court, however, is marked by ambition and intrigue. Courtiers' motives are far from pure, and ambitions are on the rise. No one is sure who will emerge victorious.
Happily ever after was never a guarantee.
Fair is an original character role playing game inspired by Ella Enchanted, Fairest, and The Two Princesses of Bamarre by Gail Carson Levine. The game takes place in the world created by those books, but no canon knowledge is required or expected. All fantasy characters welcomed!
